Dear Gulfstream Academy Families and Community,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year!

As the proud principal of Gulfstream Academy, I am filled with excitement and gratitude as we begin this new year, especially as we celebrate a major milestone: Gulfstream Academy of Hallandale Beach K-8 is now a “B” rated school!

This achievement marks the first time since 2019 that we’ve earned this distinction, and it’s all thanks to the hard work, dedication, and partnership of our teachers, staff, students, families, and community members. When we work together and keep our students at the heart of everything we do, incredible things happen.

Here are just a few highlights from our progress on the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) Progress Monitoring (PM) 3 for the 2024-2025 school year:

• +3% increase in English Language Arts
• +6% increase in Mathematics
• +13% increase in Science
• +22% increase in Algebra End-of-Course (EOC)
• +8% increase in Civics EOC 75
• 100% proficiency in Biology EOC
• 92% Middle School Acceleration

These gains reflect more than just numbers, they represent the time, energy, and belief poured into every child, every classroom, and every opportunity to grow.

This year, we’re aiming even higher with our school-wide theme:
“Bring Your ‘A’ Game!”

Now that we’ve earned our “B,” we are setting our sights on the next milestone—becoming an “A” rated school. With continued focus, support, and collaboration, we know we can get there. Bringing our “A” game means striving for academic excellence, nurturing strong relationships, and creating a school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve.
